Prior to forming the QUALITY CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGIES, CORP., Mr. Carvalho worked for New Florida Properties, Inc. as an assistant vice-president. He was responsible for engineering contracts coordination of a Landmark development Blue and Green Diamond Condominiums, two towers of 44 stories.
Mr. Carvalho's career began in 1984 in a local construction company in Brasília, DF Brazil. After several years in design and construction supervision, he became an engineer project manager. As a manager, he has worked in multidisciplinary areas such as structural analysis for hi-rise buildings and railroad cars, production of pre-cast buildings, engineering, and construction management of residential condominiums.
While acting as a research engineer at the University of Rio de Janeiro, he was responsible for development of the following technical references:
-"Vibration Level for The Human Comfort in Tall Buildings Due to Wind Loads " - Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
-"Design of Railway Car in Aluminum for Ore Transportation" - XVIII Pan-American Congress of Railroad - Rio de Janeiro.
-"Design of Industrial Shed According to Brazilian Standard Code with a Comparative Study with Elastic-plastic Analysis and Application of Minimum Weight Design" - University of Brasilia Brazil.
Through the years, Mr. Carvalho has demonstrated management and a broad architectural and engineering comprehension in coordinating diverse engineering disciplines to effect optimum results in adhering to completion schedules and assuring quality, safe design and construction, economical feasibility as well as compliance with building codes. He also has proven skills in field supervision, evaluation of field personnel, labor relations, negotiating, and material scheduling and expediting.
